Remap the Samsung Galaxy S9|S9+’s Bixby Button with bxActions” : If you’re like most Galaxy S9 and S9 + owners, you probably never use the physical Bixby button found on the side of the device. Fortunately, instead of simply disabling the button, an application called bxActions works surprisingly well in remapping the button to launch different applications or actions.

HOW TO REMAP THE BIXBY BUTTON ON SAMSUNG GALAXY S9/S9+

  1. Download bxActions
  2. Grant permissions
  3. Remapping Bixby button

1.  Download bxActions

First, you’ll need to download bxActions from the Play Store for free. There is an in-app purchase option available in the app, but it works more as a donations button for the developer. Even without paying for the “pro mode”, there are no annoying ads or pop-ups.

  1. Grant permissions

Then, after launching bxActions, you will need to give the application permission to work in the foreground and also to view button events. You can do this by tapping the two individual options on the screen.

The developer notes that before the app works, you will need to open and complete the initial setup steps for Bixby, as well as reactivate the Bixby button if you have taken steps to disable it.
