“‘American Idol’ Recap – Katy Perry Cries Over A Bullied Contestant & Gushes Over Taylor Swift” : The exciting revival of American Idol returned to its third installment on March 18 with more eager hopes that they are full of raw talent and looking for their chances to enter Hollywood to officially compete in one of the most popular television shows on television. Judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan sat at the judges’ table and prepared for another round of hearings that began in Savannah, Georgia.
Gem Alicea, a 20-year-old karaoke artist from Winterhaven, FL is the first to attempt it. Her splendid red hair and delicate state of mind make her in a flash thoughtful. While conceding that she battles routinely with certainty, she sings “Lay Me Down” by Sam Smith with a considerable measure of feeling behind a solid voice. After the song, she gets emotional and explains that music means a lot to her because she remembers her boyfriend, with whom she spent a lot. Katy, who was tear-eyed during the performance, tells her that she is a small star with a terrific personality and although she did not know where the song was going at first, she is glad she finally opened it in the middle of it. Lionel thinks she’s cooling down and Luke asks her to bring her boyfriend. After entering the audition room, Katy asks for Crystal’s love if he’s ever been in a long-distance relationship before admitting she thinks it could be good because Crystal is going to Hollywood.
The next audition is at Good Ole Nashville, Tennessee.
After Katy and Luke have a little fun putting a whoopie cushion under a chair of unsuspecting Lionel, the next hopeful enters.
Kristyn Harris, a 23-year-old from McKinney, TX, is a true country girl who rides horses and watches westerns. She looks like one too when she shows her audition in a huge cowboy hat that makes Luke immediately fancy her. Before she starts to sing, Katy asks her gracefully if she can teach him how to milk a cow using her whoopie pad as a stand. She happily shows them before entering the song, “I Want to Be a Cowboy Sweetheart” by Patsy Montana. All three judges stand up and square dance as she continues and devotes a force. Katy loves it. Luke says she’s a show from a woman, and although she has an incredible voice, cursing may not appeal to the masses. Katy thinks she’s special, but chooses not to say, while Luke gives her a yes. Lionel says he’s trying to figure out where his voice will fit before the scene suddenly cuts off Kristyn and showing off her gold ticket to her family.
The tryouts are making a beeline for New York for the following fragment.
Jonny Brenns, an exceptionally tall 18-year-old from Florida with a charming grin and a guitar, is straightaway. He spent $ 12 on a Greyhound to get to the audiiton and his folks did not know he was there. He sings a unique prison commendable melody called “Pants”. After ripping her guitar and singing in a soothing voice, Katy is a bit sore. She says he is very good with a face like Chet Baker and has a “sexy little thing” going on. Luke asks to hear his vocals a little more, asking him to sing some of Michael Buble’s “Home”, which he does. Lionel thinks that working on things for two more years can help, but Luke and Katy say yes, putting him to Hollywood. Before leaving the room, Katy asks if he can call his unsuspecting mother so she can tell him the good news. After introducing herself by telephone to Jonny’s mother, who does not believe her, Lionel sends a greeting. When there is still hesitation, Lionel starts singing the classic hit “Hello” to try to convince him that he says he is and just wanted to tell him that his son is going to Hollywood.
The crew then heads to Los Angeles.
“ Katy Perry Cries Over A Bullied Contestant & Gushes Over Taylor Swift” : Ricky Manning, 22, of West Hollywood, CA, tries to impress the judges with an exciting original song called “L.A. is Lonely” and he appears to succeed when Katy is obviously touched and can identify with the verses. Lionel believes he’s an incredible musician and Luke calls him “decent.” Three yes votes send him to Hollywood.
Effie Passero, who is an accomplished right hand property chief from Modesto, CA takes his risks and sings a unique tune while playing the piano. Herbig and boisterous voice fills the room and Katy looks astounded. The smiling judges give him a standing ovation before Lionel gets up and walks over to look for an extra volume knob. Lionel calls her a “secret weapon,” Luke calls her “patriot missile,” and Katy thinks she’s “exceptional.” The three judges say she goes to Hollywood in unison.
Everybody is back in Savannah, GA for the following round of tryouts.
Tyler “Cougar” Gordon, 25, of focal Illinois, shows up in a color shirt to take after his fantasies of experiencing Hollywood and having an association with Katy.His only choice song is Judas Priest’s “Grinder” and it does not take long for the judges to begin to shrink as he sings. Katy says he’s a cool guy and lets her know she’s a cougar too. Luke says that his gut is telling him not to vote, and the three judges push him away without the gold ingress.
Johnny White, a 18-year-old from Hickory NC, is straightaway. Subsequent to having a troublesome family history, he clarifies that he discovered solace and motivation from his vocal mentor, Mrs. Finley, who helped him get to where he is today. He waved out “This is a man’s reality” by James Brown with a forcefully noisy vocal range. Lionel says that he put the whole show into a song before approaching and ask him to sing a second song. He then begins to sing “All of Me” by John Legend, while Lionel leads him to reduce his volume. Luke praises him saying that he is “so inspiring” and gives him a yes. Katy thinks he’s the Top 10 material and also gives her a yes. Lionel agrees and receives him in the second phase of his life before a proud Mrs. Finley comes in and they embrace in an emotional embrace.
Caleb Lee Hutchinson is 18 and from Dallas, GA. He brings his guitar and his supporting parents with him to audition. His version of “If It Had not Been Love” by The SteelDrivers has a nice twang and a smiling Lionel thinks he is well above his age. Katy says he has a good bravado and the texture of his voice is unique. She also thinks he is comfortable and focused and congratulates him on being a good human being. Luke comments that he has a great voice but advises him not to overdo it. Three votes yes he goes to Hollywood.
Shannon O’Hara, a 17-year-old from Mooresville, North Carolina, has been in financial trouble since her father lost his job and expects some good news to be tested. She sings “When We Were Young” by Adele while playing the piano and impressing all the judges. Lionel says she could be a big threat with realism and conviction and Katy thinks she’s an old soul and a strong-minded woman with an exceptional voice. Luke thinks she’s a gray-haired bird and she ends up with a three-way sim.
Amelia Hammer Harris, 26, comes from an interesting musical background. His father, Jack Hammer, is a prestigious composer who wrote the hit songs “Great Balls of Fire” and “Yakety Yak.” She talks about how she did not meet him until she was 16 but helped him deal with a battle of dementia until the end of his life and wants to continue the legacy. In 70’s inspired clothing, she sings “Give Me Shelter”, The Rolling Stones, alongside her personal guitarist Nick and shows her talent. Lionel notes that she is not a “belter” and instead has a sultry voice. Katy thinks she’s a very beautiful and stylish presence and Luke says she’s one of the most exposed artists. They all voted yes and sent it to Hollywood.
The next segment shows a bunch of competing clips that have failed and after a hopeful apology to Katy for loving the composition of Taylor Swift, Katy, who looks a bit uncomfortable, says it’s all right because he loves her as a songwriter as well .
Ryan Zamo, a 28-year-old who is very good at skin care, sings “Gravity” by Sara Bareilles, which is one of Katy’s favorite songs. Unfortunately, all the judges are shocked and not impressed by their vocals. Luke says he must maintain skin care and he leaves without a ticket.
Milo and Julian Spasato are 17-year-old twins from Malibu, CA. Subsequent to perusing each other’s personalities in a Twintuition amusement with have Ryan Seacrest, they go in front of an audience for their tryout. Bruno Mars’ “Runaway Baby” is his music of decision and his dad is there to play the guitar. They open by playing a trumpet and a saxophone before they begin to sing the lyrics and impress the voices of others. Katy stops and calls her performance “crap” before asking if there are two number one spots in the competition. Lionel says he would love to tinker with the equation by bringing them into the mix and they got their ticket in Hollywood.
Les Greene, 27, knocks some people’s socks off with his idiosyncratic style that incorporates red suspenders and comparative shoes that resemble 1968. He sings “A Change is Gonna Come” by Sam Cooke. Luke calls him “Ferrari” who is ahead and Katy cherishes his style and individual introduction. Luke then gives polite friendly advice and be careful not to lose his voice throughout the competition. He gets three yes votes and his Hollywood ticket.

She works with children with disabilities and one of them is her best friend, Marcus, who has down syndrome. In her gripping story, she talks about her difficult diagnosis of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), which causes weight gain and her passion for representing others who may not fit the mold for Hollywood. After she starts on stage and shares her story, Luke asks Marcus to join them before she sings and Katy graciously offers a seat next to her. Maddie then sings “New Rules” from Dua Lipa while playing acoustic guitar and the three judges are happy with the performance. Lionel asks if he can hear her sing with Marcus before voting and the two sang the song “Firework” by Katy and Katy smiles and sings. After the exciting moment, Katy tells Maddie that she has a real set of pipes and thinks she’s an incredible woman. Lionel thinks she has great potential and Luke thinks she did it. They end things on a high note and send an appreciative Maddie to Hollywood.
